On 30 September, Freedom Wing NGO took part in the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Pro Bono Pitching Roundtable, hosted by PILnet: The Global Network for Public Interest Law.

The roundtable linked refugee-led organizations (RLOs) and NGOs that support refugees, asylum seekers and forcibly displaced people across the Asia-Pacific region with international law firms and pro bono lawyers. Its aim is to help these organizations get free, specialized legal support where they need it. At the event, Freedom Wing pitched a research project proposal on creating a legal framework that would let refugees living in Mongolia work and live lawfully.

PILnet was founded in 1997 at Columbia Law School in New York and began operating internationally in 2011. It connects civil society organizations working on human rights and the public interest around the world with free (pro bono) legal assistance and a network of professional lawyers. PILnet also works to protect human rights, strengthen justice, and build the legal capacity of civil society organizations.
